Souvenez-vous : En Septembre 2014, nous découvrions un titre inédit du regretté Avicii, dans lequel Robbie apparaît en featuring : The Days.

Le titre avait notamment servi à promouvoir la nouvelle collection de la marque Ralph Lauren. Huit ans plus tard, pas moins de 11 démos inédites du titre ont fait surface, dont une version comprenant des paroles très différentes !

Tout a commencé en Septembre 2014, lorsque la marque Ralph Lauren dévoilait un publicité contenant une chanson inédite : 

Très vite, la voix de Robbie fut identifiée sur la chanson, et nous avions alors appris qu'il s'agissait d'un titre inédit, The Days, produit par Avicii et sur laquelle Robbie assure la voix. 

Plus tard, le 3 Octobre 2014, le célèbre DJ a publié la Lyric vidéo de The Days. A ce jour, cette Lyric vidéo a enregistré 206 Millions de vues :

Malheureusement, aucune vidéo avec Robbie n'a été réalisée à l'époque, et le nom de Robbie n'apparaît même pas sur la pochette du single. En fait, le titre a été considéré uniquement comme un single d'Avicii, et Robbie n'est considéré comme étant un simple featuring sur le titre, alors qu'il chante sur le titre du début à la fin.

Plus tard, nous avons découvert que ce titre The Days avait connu en réalité de multiples rebondissements avant d'aboutir à sa version définitive interprétée par Robbie.

En effet, à l'origine, le titre avait été composé par Brandon Flowers, le leader du groupe The Killers. Brandon avait écrit la chanson en collaboration avec Vincent Pontare et Salem Al Fakir début 2014. C'est donc en Mars et Avril 2014 que Brandon et Salem ont enregistré plusieurs démos de The Days. 

Cependant, Brandon ne fut pas satisfait de son travail sur les démos, et a donc refusé de sortir le titre. C'est à ce moment-là qu'Avicii a fait appel à Robbie pour enregistrer une nouvelle version.

Jusqu'à maintenant, toutes les démos enregistrées par Brandon et Salem étaient restées inédites. Mais le 23 Octobre 2022, une série de 11 démos inédites de The Days a fuité sur le web ! Parmi ces versions, on trouve aussi bien des démos enregistrées par Brandon Flowers et Salem, mais aussi d'autres démos enregistrées par Vargas & Lagola, Nicholas Furlong, Capital Cities et Robbie Williams ! A croire que tout le monde est passé sur cette chanson !

Evidemment, ce qui nous intéresse ici, c'est les démos enregistrées par Robbie. Et là, grosse surprise ! Parmi les 11 démos inédites, 3 sont avec Robbie (!!) et de plus, l'une d'elles contient des paroles inédites, très différentes de la version finale sortie dans le commerce.

Cette version est un duo entre Robbie et Brandon Flowers ! Cependant, il est peu probable que les deux hommes aient chanté le titre ensemble en studio. Ils ont certaintement enregistré leur voix séparémment. La vidéo indique une durée de 6 minutes, mais la chanson dure en réalité 4:34. Les paroles cette fois, sont celles de la version définitive :
