I attended to the Prague show last saturday, and here is my review...
To sum up, I've been blown away by this show : not only I managed to be on the first row, not only I cried 4 times, but furthermore, I attended to my most beautiful concert in my life, and there are many reasons. First, outfits are wonderful, the design of the set is perfect ( not too heavy, not too light), and for the first time, dancers play a real role in a Robbie Tour. Everything is here : humor, emotion, eleguance, style, fashion, entertainment, celebration....
The show makes us happy, it makes us cry : we go from something grandiose to something special and unique. But that´s not the only reason I loved the show : Robbie didn't choose to pick only songs from his both swing albums (2001 and 2013). No : he decided to include a lot of new swing covers, plus a brand new song, titled, Sensational. What a great song name, no ? Plus, he gave it a very special place in the set list : the last one. Maybe a winck to what could be his next solo album ? Who knows ? Robbie was born for swing. Swing is what he's made for, without any doubt.
He grew up as a boys band member, then became a man as a pop star, and now, become a father and a husband, as a swing lover. Thanks to his father, who gave him this love for music, humor, and entertainment. He has this little magic thing who can change darkness into light. With his mentor, Guy Chambers, he's more creative than ever : together, they are more brilliant than any diamond. Tonight, Robbie told us, in his manner, that there is no more borderline between swing and pop music. It´s all about music, entertainment, passion. Tonight, he became the king of Swing.
